Terrestrial organisms take up oxygen from the atmosphere whereas aquatic animals obtain oxygen from water. Air contains more O2 as compared to water. Since the content of O2 in the air is high, the terrestrial animals do not have to breathe faster to get more oxygen.

Terrestrial organism take up oxygen from atmosphere as aquatic animal doctor and oxygen from water air contain more O2 as compared to water since the content O2 as having to breathe faster to get more oxygen therefore unlike aquatic animal Terrestrial animal do not need adoption for gaseous exchange.
