what advantages over an aquatic organism does a terrestrial organism have with regard to obtaining oxygen for repiration?

RahulRJVeer: aquatic organisms take molecular oxygen which is dissolved in water hence they get less amount of oxygen
RahulRJVeer: as compared to
vaishu2270: tq
RahulRJVeer: a terrestrial organism
RahulRJVeer: because a terrestrial organism can easily use the higher amount of oxygen which is present in air and not dissolved in water

Aquatic animals have gill for respiration. They respirate the oxygen mixed in water but the amount of oxygen in water is lesser than air. So, aquatic animals have to breath constantly whereas terrestrial animals have lungs and can hold the breath as they also get large amount of oxygen.
