The amount of oxygen present in the water is less in amount compared to the amount of oxygen present in the air. Thus terrestrial organisms have a advantage over aquatic organisms .

OR

The advantage that an organism living in terrestrial regions gets than an aquatic organism regarding to the availability of oxygen are listed below -

1. The terrestrial organism gets more oxygen as they get oxygen from the atmosphere which has high amount of oxygen. The quantity of oxygen is low in water, so the aquatic organisms gets less oxygen then the terrestrial ones.

2. Due to this, the terrestrial organisms can make proper utilisation of food by the process of respiration as compared to the aquatic organisms.
