- Don’t give importance to what others think about you and move forward. Pay attention, but don’t stay with the limiting information in your head. Chew it and throw out what isn’t helping you thrive and become a better you. There will always be people around you who will not care to see you, those who will choose to say that you can’t achieve what you want just to serve their own frustrations. There will also be people who are of good quality and will be happy to help you and support you, if only you ask them to. There will be those who have a great advice prepared, those who will warn you, those who will take care of you and care for what happens to you, and there will be mentors who don’t know that they are really that. You have to search for them and learn from them what ever is your lesson, passion, interest or pain. Those people are already around and will be, throughout your life. Make every effort to recognize them and use their presence to make yourself a better person, who will make the wisest choices in life.
- Decide early what you really enjoy doing and learn your skill to every detail. The more focused and decided, the better chances for your thriving career. And don’t forget - it will not be the end of the world if you decide one day that this isn’t a career for you. There are so many ways in which you can void your skills and passion towards a new thriving career. Decide, walk, focus and get there, but make sure to have sufficient backup funds, just in case it takes a year more than first thought. And ask, and inform yourself further, so that you can move at your desired speed.
- If you need someone to support you - ask them.
- If your love relationship requires deleting friends and your complete social life, say good bye before it drains life out of you.
- Spend a reasonable amount of your salary for continuing education. There are so many things that you want to learn, just browse the offers, and decide what would you like to upgrade your knowledge in.
- Don’t stay too long in a ‘self-pity mode’. Be responsible and proactive in your choices and moves. Put more interest in seeing what you can improve to make your life a more enjoyable one.
- Integrate yourself in a group - with colleagues, with local people where ever you live - learn their language and participate in local life. Don’t close the door.
- You are limitless. Believe it. Always. You can achieve what ever you want. Just look for the ways. Respect your imagination.
- Respect your emotions, acknowledge them and share them with the right people. You are unique. Treat yourself as such
