What advice would you give to your friend who wants to pursue fashion designing and merchandising as a career?

I would advise my friend to be different than others and believe in her designs and ideas. I would tell her/him to always be positive and confident about his/her ideas. With work comes criticism and praises both so, I would advice her/him to take into account both criticism and appraisal and not to get demoralized by the criticism.

I would also advise my friend that there will be times when he/ she will feel low and demotivated by seeing others getting recognition but not to get affected by that.
