Plasma membrane has lipid bilayer
It is made up of polar heads and non polar tails
Polar heads face outside
No polar tails face inside
Polar heads are hydrophilic as it has OH- in its structure(as it is glycerol)
But non polar tails are hydrophobic So they didn't allow water to go across them as it doesn't have OH-group
