The three events that occur during the process of photosynthesis are: (i) Absorption of light energy by chlorophyll. (ii) Conversion of light energy to chemical energy and splitting of water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen.

For the process of photosynthesis , the chlorophyll present in the leaves absorb the sunlight to get activated . The energy that is absorbed from sunlight is utilized to decompose the water molecule into its two components hydrogen and oxygen

H2O —> 4H ^+ + 4 electrons + oxygen

The oxygen release is given out into the atmosphere And is utilized by living organism for respiration

The hydrogen ions are taken up by NADP ( Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate ) to form NADPH

When ATP ( adenosine triphosphate ) is Used by the body for energy it gets converted to ADP . But ADP ( Adenosine diphosphate ) is not a form of energy . It has to be converted into ATP . The electrons are taken up by the ADP and combines with an inorganic phosphate group and gets converted back into ATP

End products are

1) oxygen : which is given out into the atmosphere and utilized by living organisms for the process is of respiration

2) glucose : food for the plant

3) water : the water can be reused for the process of photosynthesis

Hope this helps u
