The legal framework order was the 17th amendment made to the constitution of Pakistan in August 2002. These amendments were implemented by General Parvez Musharraf, the president of Pakistan at that time. This amendment solely demanded that the constitution functions of 1973 be immediately revived along with the elections in Pakistan. However this amendment was to be approved by two-third of the bicameral decisive body of Pakistan before this could be legalized and brought into the political apparel of Pakistan.
