Answer:

This may seem like a rudimentary question relative to other posts, but how do I determine whether the variance is statistically significant?

For example, let's say I have a population of 10000. I have 5 doctors and have to determine how many times they correctly diagnose cancer per patient.

How would I go about finding the variance and determining statistical significance of the variance?

I am taking an intro stats course - please keep that in mind and be patient!

Thank you very much!
