Adaptations of frog that make them amphibians are:

1. They are cold blooded animals, hence, they have a very low metabolic rate and their body temperature changes with external environment. They are usually found in humid and moist places however, they are also found in dry deserts and cold mountain areas.

2. In tadpole stage, they bear gills for breathing which are replaced by lungs in an adult and mature frog. In addition, they can also respire with their skin. It enables them to live in water as skin helps to get dissolved oxygen from the water. Also, it prevents the excess loss of water from the body when they are living on land.

3. They have a 3-layered eye lid membrane which help them to see clearly on land as well as in water.
