In eukaryotes, the subunits have 60S and 40S sedimentation coefficients, making up the 80S ribosomes. 70 S ribosomes are prokaryotic ribosomes composed of two subunits having Svedberg coefficients of 30S ( smaller subunit) and 50S ( larger subunit) . ... Ribosome of 70s are in 30s and 40s whereas 80s are in 60s and 40s.
