The full form of SHG is self help group. It is a group of people who take loans from bank with some rate of interest and distribute it to needy people. They take less amount of interest from them. for example :- Bank give loan to SHG at 10% interest and SHG give people loans at 2% rate of interest. Just like this SHG make their own mini bank.

The basis Idea for the formation of SHG is to help needy people who willing to do work but can't do due to financial problems and can't take loans due to high rate of interests of banks.
