HNO₃ NO₃⁻
CH₃COOH CH₃COO⁻
The ion formed after removal of hydroxide ions (OH⁻ ions) from a base is called basic radical. Ex: When NaOH loses OH⁻ ion, it forms Na⁺ which is a basic radical.
