2. They turn blue litmus solution to red.
3. For example = HCl, H2SO4, citric acid etc.
4. They give rise to H+ ions.
Bases :-
1. These are the substances which are bitter in taste and soapy in touch.
2. They turn red litmus solution to blue.
3. For example = Na2SO4, NaOH, KOH etc.
4. They give rise to OH- ions.
