Hi friend...

Let's take an example of Hydrochloric acid .
# bases are substances that produce hydroxide ion OH- solution.
# acid and base together form two products like water and ionic compound called salt. this reaction is called neutralization reaction.

Acids are substances that turn red litmus blue.these contain hydroxyl group.

bases are substances that turn blue litmus red.these contain hydronium ions.

When an acid and a base react this reaction is known as neutralization reaction and the resultant products are salt and water.
