- The acoustical quantity to measure pitch of the sound is frequency because pitch determines how high or low a sound is and the pitch we hear depends on the frequency of the sound waves travelling where the amplitude remains constant. If the frequency is higher than the pitch is high and vice versa.
- The acoustical quantity to measure the loudness of the sound is intensity and is measured in decibels. Sound waves having greater intensity would mean that the loudness of the sound is high and the other way around.
