Acquired traits are those which are acquired by a person or an organism after his birth from the interactions with his environment.

Unlike the genetic traits these traits cannot be inherited from one generation to other because these traits are not in the genes and are accumulated by a person in his lifetime.

Acquired traits are those which we get from any injury during the lifetime or any disease or influenced by other environmental factors.

For example , a scar which we get by any injury is an acquired trait and it cannot be passed from us to the next generation.

Another example of acquired trait is are physical appearance or the body that we make by various exercises or taking various supplements. This appearance of body is not at all genetic and cannot be passed from us to the upcoming generation.
