What are acquired traits? Why are these traits generally not inherited over generations? Explain?

acquired traits are the traits which are not present since birth they are retained by the human in their lifetime and these traits do not cause any change in our germ cell thats why they are not inherited

Traits which we learn or acquire in our lifetime is known as acquired traits.

For ex. Swimming, singing, dancing etc..

They are not inherited over generations bcz these changes occur in somatic cells not in germ cells. Only germ cells get transferred in the form of DNA.
