The advantages of globe is that it is the smaller representation of our world.
It's helps us to read the various location, vegetation, etc.
There are disadvantages of globe as its not handy,we can not carry it all times,this had led maps to replace the globes.
Also in the globe the exact representation of the points or the place is not possible!
The actual curve of the earth can't be followed in a globe,which makes the latitudinal and longitudinal lines not exactly accurate.

Advantages -
It gives a better ideas of parallels (latitudes) and meridians (longitudes).
It helps us to understand how day and night occur and seasons are caused.
It gives the ideas of tilt of the Earth's axis.
Disadvantages -
It is difficult to carry it anywhere.
It cannot be used to study the specific part of the Earth.
It does not shows towns, cities, district, roads, railways etc.
