Following are two example: Orchid plant and Spanish moss: Aerial plant adaptation: Some aerial plants such as epiphytic orchids have thick, waxy or leathery leaves. Few plants have slender leaves which curl up on themselves, shrinking the surface area, and thereby restricting water loss.
