Basically Alkynes are those UNSATURATED HYDROCARBONS THAT A CARBON - CARNON TRIPLE BOND BETWEEN THEM.....

Basically they follow the general formula of CnH2n-2...
They are Unsaturated compounds ....

On addition reaction they give Alkenes and Alkanes .....

They have sp HYBRIDIZATION and are Planer in structure ..that is they have 180° rotation in the plane they lie....

The simplest Alkenes is the

ETHENE ... CHCH...
