The cross-section of the cylinder is:
- The horizontal cross-section of the cylinder is a circle and the vertical cross-section of the cylinder is a rectangle.
- The cross-section lets us see the inside part of an object. There are some popular cross-sections that are conic-section. The cross-section is built by cutting the right cone in different ways. There are four kinds of conic sections that can be used which are, an ellipse, a circle, a hyperbola, and a parabola.
- We can calculate the area moment of a solid cylinder by using the formula here, r = radius of the cylinder.
