Alleles are alternate form of gene

Every gene has two alleles or may have multiple alleles

If allele is dominant it will be expressed while if it is recessive it will not be expressed for a particular trait

hey mate

here's ur answer

alleles (allelemorphs) are the two alternative of the gene controlling the same character but in opposite way and are located on the same locii of the homologous chromosome.

for example:
TT(pure tall) and tt(pure dwarf) are the alleles for the character tallness.

by the law of dominance
from a pair of contrasting features of an organism, only one Gene makes its appearance in the offspring while the other gets suppressed.the former is called dominant(superruling) Gene and the allele is called dominant allele while the latter is called dominant recessive (subordinate) gene with recessive allele.
