In chemistry, an atmospheric compound is a molecule ion that can react both as an acid as well as a base. the word is derived from the Greek work amphoteric meaning "both". may metal ( such as copper, zinc, tin, aluminium, beryllium ) form amphoteric oxides or hydroxides.
