• poor implementation of planning (this economy fails to achieve its objective)
• lack of efficiency (both public and private sectors lack efficiency under mixed economy)
• corruption
• constrained growth of private sector
• more wastage : (wastage of resources and large funds allocated for the implementation of plans in public sector go to into the pockets of brokers,contractors )

•Instability :- A mixed economy cannot continue for a long period. It may be possible that in future some private yndertakings are nationalised.

•Uncordinate system :- Under mixed economy there is a lack of co-ordination. In capitalism, co-ordunation is made by price mechanism.
