Arrangements made by government in India to attract mncs

Explanation:

  • Barriers to foreign trade and investment have largely been removed. Now goods could easily be imported and exported and foreign firms could also set up factories and officers here. It also allowed the privatisation of several public sector industries by the government
  • In recent years , Indian government has taken specific steps to encourage MNCs to invest in India. Industrial zones are being created, named Special Economic Zones (SEZs). SEZs  have world-class infrastructure: power, water, roads, highways,  recreational facilities, storage, and educational facilities. Companies that establish production units in the SEZs do not have to pay taxes for an initial 5-year period
