arteries=They have thick walls ; they have not valves ; carries oxygeneted blood except pulmonary artery ; high blood pressure ::::::: veins = They have thin walls ; they have valves in them ; carries oxygeneted blood except pulmonary vein ; low blood pressure

Arteries are the blood vessels which carry oxygenated blood from heart to each and every part of body ,or carries blood away from heart
Veins are the blood vessels which carries de oxygenated blood from different part of our body like posterior vena cava,,,to right side of heart
