Tenses mean time.tenses are the words that tells when the action has been taken( in which time action had been taken). Eg. I am writing letter.

It shows that letter has been written now .not in past or future.

Thank you

An article refers to the words which are used as an adjective to modify the noun. An adjective through description modifies the noun whereas, an article modifies the noun by pointing out or by referring to nouns. Articles are of two types definite and indefinite.

For example:

The Taj Mahal is in Agra. (Definite article)

An event was organized in our school. (Indefinite article)

Tenses in the grammar refer to the state of the verb. It explains the action timings through the tense or state of the verb. There are three types of tenses which indicate the timings that are, past, present and future tense.

For example:

I ate. (Past tense)

I eat. (Present tense)

I will eat. (Future tense)
