There are various types of asteroids. Most Asteroids are of carbonaceous type(C-Type). They are very dark and are in the outer region of the asteroid belt.

Second Type of Asteroid is Silicaceous(S-Type) asteroids, They are made up of metallic iron and magnesium. They are Bright and reflective asteroids.

Third Type is Metallic Asteroid(M-Type), this bright metallic asteroids are made of metallic iron.
