Autotrophic mode of nutrition is of two types:-

1. Photosynthetic autotrophic nutrition

In this type of nutrition, there is a need of sunlight, water , CO2 and chlorophyll.

This is mostly done by green plants which contain chlorophyll.

2. Chemosynthic autotrophic nutrition

In this type of nutrition, organism make their one food with the help of chemicals. Here, photosynthetic pigments are absent.

This is mostly seen in some bacteria.
