what are axon in neuron? what is syapses then?

axon: the tail like part of neuron
synaps: the gap between 2 neuron cells.
    refer to diagram of neuron cell in class 10th ncert book.
              chapter : control and coordination.

axon is also called nerve fiber it is a single longest unbranched processing developed from cyton .  axons are covered by myelin  sheath and are called myellinated axons whereas synapse is a sight or junction where impulses from nerve terminals of one neurons are transmmited to dendrites of another neurons .they have do not have protoplasmic connections even tough information is passed by neurotransmitters like dopamines which are chemical substances
