they are mixture of minimum two different liquids. Their mixture can either have a higher boiling point than either of the components or they can have a lower boiling point.

It is defined as the mixtures of liquid which boil at constant temperature like a pure liquid and possess same composition of components in liquid as well as vapour phase. Azeotropes are also called constant boiling mixtures.
