Catalysts are those substances which affect/modify the rate of a reaction by either increasing or decreasing the reaction rate.

Bio catayst as the name suggests is a natural catalyst/ bio-chemical catalyst.

Enzymes are one of the most important biocatalysts known.

For example ,digestive enzymes play a key role in breaking down the food we ingest, here hydrolase enzymes play a role, they catalyse the reaction called hydrolysis which is the breakage of single bonds by the addition of water.
