biodiversity hotspot is a biogeographic region that is both a significant reservoir ofbiodiversity and is threatened with destruction. The term biodiversity hotspotspecifically refers to 25 biologically rich areas around the world that have lost at least 70 percent of their original habitat.

When the organism in that environment has more than 1500 variety of their species and many animals are going towards extinction. Then that place is known as biodiversity Hotspot. Eg.himalayas hotspot
