they do not reduce soil fertility and also do not harm the useful insects for the crops it also do not harm the aquatic life

Bio-fertilizers can be defined as the microorganisms that help plants to take nutrients by their interaction when they are applied through the soil or seed. They live in symbiotic relation with the soil.

It carry selected strains of microorganism that is cultivated in lab for particular use. These  microorganism are used to increase the level of nutrients like phosphorus and nitrogen in the soil, and some  help them to fight against disease.

These are better than chemical fertilizer as they help in increasing the fertility of the soil naturally opposite to that chemical fertilizer improve fertility of the soil by chemical means, which accumulate and leech out through the soil and degrade the soil and water quality and lead to environmental pollution.

Example: Azotobacter, Clostridium
