Explanation:

An organic compound normally present as an essential component of living organism.

{\bold{\green{\huge{Characteristics\:of\:Biomolecules}}}}

:

1) Most of them are organic compounds.

2) They have specific shapes and dimensions.

3) Functional group determines their chemical properties.

4) Many of them arc asymmetric.

5) Macromolecules are large molecules and are constructed from small building block molecules.

6) Building block molecules have simple structure.

\huge\bold{Biomolecules:-}

A biomolecule , which generally are macromolecules , are the molecules which are present in living organisms.

There are 4 types of biomolecules and they are:-

i) Carbohydrates
ii) Proteins
iii) Lipids
iv) Nucleic acid

\underline\bold{Carbohydrates} It is very important for source of energy for any physical function of body.

\underline\bold{Proteins:-} These are very important because they helps in tissue and in cell formation.

\underline\bold{Lipids:-} These are very important for human nutrition point of view.

\underline\bold{Nucleic\:Acid:-} They are very important as DNA carries the hereditary information and RNA helps in protein formation of the body.
