bryophytes r amphibians of plant kingdom it doesn't have vascular tissues but pteridophytes are first terrestrial plants having vascular tissue

Bryophytes :-

  • They are non vascular land plants.
  • The dominant phase or main plant body is a gametophytes.
  • The plant body is not differentiated into true roots, stem and leaves.
  • The sporophytes is dependent upon the gametophytes for support, shelter and nutrition.
  • The spores are produced in the capsule part of the sporophytes.
  • Example:- Moss

Pteridophytes :-

  • They are vascular land plants.
  • The dominant phase or main plant body is a sporophytes.
  • The plant body is differentiated into roots, stem and leaves.
  • The sporophytes and gametophytes are independent and autotrophic plants.
  • The spores are produced in sporangia borne on the leaves called sporophylls.
  • Example:- Fern
