bt crops are crops that are genetically engineered to secrete an endotoxin that is harmful to many pests. this toxin is naturally secreted by bacillus thuringenesis.

It produces a toxin which kills pests on plants or crops.

The Bacterium is used as bio pesticide.

In transgenic crop plants this toxin producing gene was separated from the bacterium and transferred into the crop plants.

So this can protect it from pests.

it shows severe impact on plants and animals.
