Nutrients are essential for your survival. Proteins, fats and carbohydrates are called macronutrients. Your body needs larger amounts of macronutrients for energy, growth and development. Fats provide 9 calories per gram while protein and carbohydrates each provide 4 calories per gram.

Carbohydrates :- The nutrients which gives energy to our body. E.g - Potato  

Proteins :- The nutrients which repair damaged tissues of our body. E.g - Fish

Fats :- The nutrients which gives us twice energy then carbohydrates to our body. E.g - Butter

Vitamins and Minerals :- The nutrients which help our body to fight against infections and diseases. E.g - Carrot

Roughage :- The undigested food (also called as fiber) which helps in the smooth removal of wastes in our body. E.g - Spinach

Diseases :- An effect of any nutrient which the body got  less supply or intake  of it. E.g -  Marasmus

Communicable Diseases :- The diseases which can occur from one person to another person through spreading of bacteria or from the touching of one infected person to the other. E.g - Sneezing
