Cartographers r the people who create maps. Specifically, cartographers in the modern age are tasked with the final product of map making. Surveyors collect data, office technicians process data and remove user or collection error during the processing stages, and deliver information to the cartographer who uses elements of graphic design to produce a tasteful end product for print/digital publication.

In some cases they will be responsible for all stages of the work, however in the divisions of training, they are responsible for a finished product and less about data accuracy.
