QUESTION -

What are Catalyst ?

ANSWER -

A catalyst is a substance which helps in a reaction without actually taking place in. It usually is used to speeden up or slow down a chemical reaction.

Like: Suppose If I have two reactant Hydrogen and chlorine and the product is formed after 1 hr Hydrochloric acid

H+Cl= HCL

And If I will use catalyst in this reaction then hydrochloric acid will form in 20 min which less than normal reaction

H+Cl=in catalyst =HCL
