Cilia and flagella are projections from the cell. They are made up of microtubules and are covered by an extension of the plasma membrane. They are motile and designed either to move the cell itself or to move substances over or around the cell
Dissimilarity - cilia are small as compared to flagella & numerous in number, whereas flagella is larger in size as compared to flagella & usually 1 to 8 in number. Example : cilia in paramecium and flagella in euglena.
