Answer:

Cleistogamous flower donot open and remain in bud stage. In chasmogamous flower, the reproductive structures are often larger and are usually pollinated by cross pollination and also sometimes by self pollination.

No cross pollination cannot occur in cleistogamous flowers as they pollinate by their own parts and do self pollination.

Chasmogamous flowers :-

Chasmogamous flowers can be defined as the flowers which are open in nature and have their reproductive parts exposed in order to support cross pollination.

Cleistogamous flowers :-

Cleistogamous flowers can be defined as the flowers which are closed in nature and do not expose their reproductive parts.

No, cross pollination can not occur in cleistogamous flowers.

Cross pollination can not occur in cleistogamous flowers because cleistogamous flowers never open at all. The petals of cleistogamous flowers remain closed forever and because of that, the reproductive parts never get exposed. Since the reproductive parts in cleistogamous flowers never get exposed, there's no chance of occurrence of cross pollination.
