In any equation multiplication factor of variables are called coefficients.. For example : ax^2+bx+c=0 In this equation coefficient of x^2 is 'a', coefficient of x is 'b' ..... => u have to consider coefficient '1' if no number is there for example : x^2-1=0 in this coefficient of x^2 is '1'... => Take another equation : 5x^3-4x^2+6= 0...... In this equation coefficient of x^3 is ' 5' , coefficient of x^2 is '-4' , coefficient of x is '0' zero bcz its not given...
