Cohesive force:- cohesive forces are intermolecular forces which causes a tendency in liquid to resist separation..
These attractive forces exist between molecule of same substance.
Adhesive forces:- Adhesive forces exist between two unlike molecules. They are caused by force acting between two substances, such as mechanical force and electrostatic force.
