Answer:

A collision is when two moving objects strike each other. The types of collisions include: Perfectly Elastic, Perfectly Inelastic, and Imperfectly Elastic.

Explanation:

Perfectly Elastic- Net kinetic energy remains the same before and after the collision. (There is a bounce between the objects)

Perfectly Inelastic- Kinetic energy is lost (the two objects might stick together)

Imperfectly Elastic- Velocities of both objects will change, one will be positive and the other negative. (Objects shoot out in opposite directions)

HEYA MATE HERE U GO.

COLLISION

  • A strong interaction between two bodies that occur for a very short interval of time during which redistribution occirs is called "collision".

  1. velocities of colliding bodies change.
  2. Total Momentum will be conserved.
  3. Total Kinetic energy will be changed
  4. Total Momentum will be conserved.

TYPES OF COLLISIONS

ELASTIC COLLISION

  • The collision in which both momentum and kinetic energy are conserved , is known ad elastic collision.

Ex: collision betweeb two smooth Billiard balls , collision between gas molecules.

INELASTIC COLLISION

  • The collision in which only Momentum is conserved but not kinetic energy , is called as inelastic collision.

Ex: Hitting a ball a bat, collision between a bullet and its target.
