Explanation:

The substances which catch fire easily are called combustible substances. And, the substances which do not catch fire easily are called non-combustible substances.

  • Combustible substances: Those substances which can undergo combustion are called combustible substances.

OR

Those substances which can burn are called combustible substances.

Examples : Cooking gas ,Charcoal, straw ,etc.

  • Non- combustible substances : Those substances which do not undergo combustion are called non - combustible substances.

OR

The substances which cannot burn are called non- combustible substances.

Examples: Water, Stone, glass, etc.
