Gum is one of the plant product that is formed  from the disintegration of plant cellulose. The important gum yielding trees are Acacia nilotica (babul), , Steruculia urens (kullu), A catechu (khair), Anogeissus latifolia (dhawra),  Bauhinia retusa (semal), Butea monosperma (palas), Lannea coromandelica (lendia) and Azadirachta indica(neem). Gums can also be extracted from seeds . From plants like guar, tamarind, Cassia tora etc.

Almond gum is an edible gum collected from almond trees in my surroundings.

Almond tree bark secretes the gum. Once it dried I removed them with help of knife with the guidance of my mother.
