What are 'Complementary events'? Give an example.

Here is the answer to your query:-

Complementary events are two outcomes of an event that are the only two possible outcomes. 
For example:
We toss a coin and we have either heads or tails as outcomes.Since it has only two possible outcomes So, it is a complementary event.
