what are complex reactions ?
Answers
Answer:
In kinetics, the term 'complex reaction' simply refers to a reaction whose mechanism comprises more than one elementary step. ... It should be noted though that agreement between the predicted and measured kinetics is not always enough to confirm a mechanism.

Complex reaction:- Such reactions which take place in multisteps are known as complex reactions.
Some additional points:-
1. For these type of reactions actually a mechanism is proposed.
2. Slowest step controls overall reaction that is
known as the rate determining step or (R.D.S.).
3. It depends on concentration of reactants of the slowest step.
4. Slowest step must be free from the intermediate.
5. lf R.D.S. will be intermediate then its value can be solved by using of fast step by assuming it as reversible reaction.
